Job Description

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, customers, and market segments to support the company's accelerated growth objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers and business partners.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their business needs, objectives, and challenges, and provide suitable solutions.
  • Drive sales growth and achieve assigned sales targets within designated territories or market segments.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributors, agents, and channel partners to maximise sales performance and market penetration.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and review, approve, or finalise contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments to identify growth opportunities and business risks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and business development updates.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor or management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the building materials or construction industry.
  • Strong background in sales specification, preferably in laminate, colour, lighting, aluminium, tile, or related businesses.
  • Strong network and established relationships with leading designers, architects, and property developers.
  • Proven ability to manage large business volumes and drive sustainable sales growth.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading and managing large teams while effectively coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Good command of English and proficient in Microsoft Office and other business applications.
  • Demonstrates a proactive "can-do" attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, practical creativity, and a strong commitment to achieving business objectives.
  • Flexible and open to job mobility, including travel or relocation when required.
