My first contact with the company was through a referral from my senior at university. I joined right after graduating with a Master’s degree from the UK. Without really knowing what the recruitment business was, I kept an open mind when I first joined. Through effective talent development programs, I gained valuable knowledge on how to be a successful Career Consultant. I'm proud to say that I built my career from scratch at PageGroup.
I joined Page as a fresh graduate as a Resourcer before being promoted five times to my current role as Manager. I kept my mind open, following Page’s way of working and the corporate Talent Development programs. For me, Page is like a school that teaches not only how to become a good “Recruiter” but also the best “Career Consultant.” Throughout both good and difficult times, I trust in the process, the time invested, and learning from my mistakes. After every downturn, there will be opportunities for those who do not give up.
I start the day by answering emails, reviewing my schedule, attending meetings, and executing tasks as previously planned. These can include using available tools to source candidates and interviewing them via phone, video call, or face-to-face. The suitable candidates’ profiles will be delivered to clients according to their requirements, and I will provide advice throughout the recruitment process. This can include presenting résumés in writing and verbally, as well as sharing market insights on effective ways to find the right candidates. I will also have catch-ups with all my team members to help them prioritize assignments and manage processes thoroughly at the beginning and middle of the week or when needed.
