Job Description

  • Design and set climbing routes across different levels, from beginner to advanced climbers
  • Create challenging, creative, and enjoyable climbing problems aligned with customer expectations
  • Regularly reset routes to maintain variety and engagement within the facility
  • Analyse climber feedback and adjust routes to improve the overall experience
  • Ensure all routes meet safety standards and best practices
  • Maintain climbing holds and equipment, including cleaning, rotation, and organisation
  • Collaborate with the coaching and operations teams to support events, competitions, and community activities
  • Contribute ideas to improve route-setting standards and overall climbing development

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong climbing background with solid understanding of climbing techniques and movement patterns
  • Previous experience in route setting is preferred
  • Ability to design routes suitable for different skill levels and climbing styles
  • Good understanding of safety procedures and climbing equipment
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about climbing and building a positive climbing community
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexible and hands-on attitude in a fast-moving environment
