The company is a reputable global manufacturing business serving customers across multiple industries worldwide

Job Description

  • Manage procurement activities for direct materials, including OEM parts, engineering components, raw materials, chemicals, and other materials supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Execute RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee purchase order processes, including blanket orders, consignment inventory, and urgent purchasing requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels, material availability, and supplier lead times while coordinating with planning and warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Support cost control initiatives through price benchmarking, cost analysis, savings tracking, and supplier negotiations.
  • Manage supplier performance by monitoring delivery reliability, quality performance, responsiveness, and corrective action implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance to support operational requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in direct material procurement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, purchasing processes, and material planning.
  • Understanding of inventory management concepts, including safety stock, Min/Max planning, inventory coverage, consignment, and blanket order management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and English language skills.
