About Our Client

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading international organization within the shipping and freight transportation industry. We are seeking a highly driven and commercially focused Regional Sales Manager to lead business development and key account management activities across Southeast Asia.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in shipping lines, ocean freight, logistics, or international transportation, along with an established network among Chinese-speaking customers and business communities across the region.

Job Description



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to drive revenue growth across Southeast Asia (excluding Thailand).
  • Manage and expand relationships with Chinese key accounts based customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline throughout the region.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business development activities to strengthen market presence.
  • Collaborate closely with regional and headquarters teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and business development plans.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and maintain long-term customer partnerships.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Regional Sales Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales, business development, or key account management experience within:
    • Shipping Lines
    • Ocean Freight
    • Freight Forwarding
    • Logistics & Transportation
    • Global Supply Chain Services
  • Proven track record of managing regional accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of Southeast Asian logistics and shipping markets.
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) - mandatory.
  • Professional English communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with customers from Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
  • Strong network within Chinese business communities in Southeast Asia.
  • Experience handling multinational key accounts.
  • Self-motivated, commercially driven, and comfortable working in a regional role.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Southeast Asia.
