The Regional QEHS Manager will lead Quality, Safety, Health, Security, and Environmental programs across Southeast Asia, ensuring compliance with international standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages regional audits and certifications, and partners with business leaders to strengthen operational excellence and risk management practices.

Job Description

  • Lead and oversee all Quality, Safety, Health, Security, and Environmental (QSHE) activities across the Southeast Asia region.
  • Act as the key regional advisor on QSHE matters and provide regular updates and recommendations to regional leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the regional QSHE management system.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of QSHE programs and recommend initiatives to strengthen performance and compliance.
  • Coordinate preparations for customer, certification, and accreditation audits.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage internal audit programs across business locations.
  • Partner with branch and functional leaders to ensure successful audit outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance data quality, reporting accuracy, and compliance transparency.
  • Promote awareness of customer requirements and ensure they are embedded within daily operations.
  • Deliver QSHE training programs and coaching sessions to strengthen employee knowledge and engagement.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and operational risks while implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Facilitate management reviews and support departments in establishing and achieving operational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external stakeholders regarding QSHE and security-related matters.
  • Manage legal compliance processes, including monitoring regulatory changes and maintaining compliance registers.
  • Support customer tenders and business opportunities by providing QSHE and security expertise.
  • Lead social compliance initiatives, including supplier and sustainability assessments.
  • Maintain QSHE documentation, records, and management systems to ensure consistency and accessibility.
  • Participate in business continuity planning activities, simulations, and organizational preparedness programs.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to align policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving operational standards and business resilience.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Safety Management, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in QSHE, HSE, quality management, or compliance functions within a multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and integrated management systems.
  • Experience managing customer audits, certification audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Background in social compliance programs such as CSR, SEDEX, or related frameworks.
  • Knowledge of security management standards, including STP, C-TPAT, TAPA, or equivalent programs.
  • Understanding of business continuity planning and organizational risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and interpreting local legislation.
  • Experience conducting investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities.
  • Proven leadership experience in training, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with limited resources.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and capable of working in a fast-paced regional environment.
  • Relevant certifications in Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, Security, or related disciplines are highly desirable.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
