Job Description

  • Develop and execute departmental business plans, ensuring targets are effectively cascaded and achieved across the production organization.
  • Translate strategic directives from senior management into actionable plans for section managers and operational teams.
  • Lead and support section managers through coaching, guidance, and performance management to strengthen organizational capability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Take overall responsibility for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale (SQCDM) performance within the production area.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report production performance results to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Drive daily operational reviews and problem-solving activities to address production issues and improve performance.
  • Evaluate and develop supervisors, engineers, and production leaders through structured performance management processes.
  • Partner with Production Control & Logistics teams to optimize production planning and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
  • Investigate production and machining-related issues and provide technical direction to management and engineering teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity, product quality, operational efficiency, and cost performance.
  • Manage large production teams while fostering a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of Manufacturing/Production Engineering with the management experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience in machining processes.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies and manage production performance across SQCDM metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production operations, and industry standards.
  • Experience utilizing problem-solving methodologies, including root cause analysis, statistical analysis, and design of experiments.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing large teams and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to drive sustainable operational improvements.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum TOEIC score of 600 or equivalent English communication proficiency.
