Job Description

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and supply chain partners, providing application development and project management support.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to identify customer requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot processing challenges, evaluate product performance, and recommend improvements to meet customer expectations.
  • Lead product development projects, technical trials, and field testing activities to support commercialization objectives.
  • Apply expertise in polymer science, material processing, and product performance to develop innovative applications.
  • Deliver technical presentations, customer workshops, and training programs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support market expansion initiatives by working with commercial teams to identify new applications and business opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze customer requirements, market trends, competitive technologies, and demand forecasts to drive development priorities.
  • Coordinate regional product development programs and align technical activities with global business strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and manage third-party manufacturing partners for experimental and commercial production.
  • Lead technology transfer activities by providing manufacturing processes, specifications, and technical requirements to external partners.
  • Coordinate production trials, manufacturing campaigns, raw material supply, logistics, and product deliveries.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance, product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across external production sites.
  • Manage manufacturing budgets, production schedules, and ERP system documentation to support business objectives.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards across all operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in product development, technical service, application engineering, or customer-facing technical support roles.
  • Proven experience supporting product conversion activities, customer trials, and commercialization projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in twin-screw extrusion, reactive extrusion, or related polymer processing technologies.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, or production support environments.
  • Background working with external manufacturing partners and contract manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of polymer formulation, material characterization, and extrusion processing technologies.
  • Expertise in polyester, polyolefin, PLA, or similar polymer materials and their application development.
  • Experience in plastics processing technologies such as film extrusion, sheet extrusion, fiber spinning, compounding, injection molding, thermoforming, or 3D printing.
  • Familiarity with polymer modification techniques, additives, masterbatches, and performance enhancement technologies.
  • Ability to analyze technical data using laboratory and material characterization techniques.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing timelines, budgets, procurement, logistics, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills within multicultural environments.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to support business development, customer growth, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Proficiency in English communication, Microsoft Office applications, and SAP systems.
