Our client is a global manufacturer with extensive production operations in Thailand

Job Description

  • Develop and execute material procurement strategies to ensure continuous supply and support production requirements.
  • Lead purchasing activities, including demand forecasting, market analysis, and procurement planning to optimize inventory and cost efficiency.
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, and drive supplier development initiatives.
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans, alternative sourcing strategies, and business continuity measures.
  • Oversee inventory management programs and implement best practices such as JIT, VMI, and other inventory optimization techniques.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of material buyers, driving high performance and continuous capability improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, planning, logistics, and finance while driving process improvements, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in materials procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and team management capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control, material planning, supply chain management, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, O9, Dynamics AX) and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English communication ability.
