About Our Client

Our client is a leading international energy solutions provider with established operations across Asia Pacific. They are rapidly expanding their Thailand footprint and investing in world‑class renewable and infrastructure projects.

Job Description

  • Provide full-spectrum legal support for all business units in Thailand, particularly in solar energy and district cooling projects.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including EPC, O&M, MOUs, NDAs, and long‑term service contracts.
  • Act as primary legal advisor to the business development team on new projects, tenders, bids, and investment structures.
  • Support project managers with day‑to‑day legal matters during construction and post‑construction phases.
  • Develop and enhance contract templates to ensure accuracy, clarity, and risk mitigation for ongoing and future projects.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, foreign investment rules, and project structuring under Thai law.
  • Manage claims, disputes, investigations, and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Oversee legal and compliance risk across all business functions and highlight any regulatory updates to relevant teams.
  • Support corporate works.
  • Provide legal advice related to new company setup, JV structures, or restructuring as required for new projects..
  • Ensure clarity and legal soundness in commercial terms and conditions for long-term contracts.
  • Provide practical, business‑focused legal solutions while balancing risk and commercial needs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law with at least 5 years of working experience.
  • Solid experience with renewable energy, infrastructure, EPC contracts, or large-scale projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills in both Thai and English.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and provide commercially practical legal advice.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate with regional teams.
