Job Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of deep excavation and underground engineering projects, including excavations up to 30 meters below ground level, tunnels, underground structures, and retaining systems.
  • Perform geotechnical interpretation of soil investigation reports and evaluate ground conditions for design development.
  • Prepare and review geotechnical and underground engineering design reports, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct analysis and design of tunnel excavations, tunnel support systems, tunnel linings, underground structures, and ground stabilization works.
  • Utilize PLAXIS and other geotechnical software for numerical modelling and engineering analysis.
  • Interface directly with clients, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders to present design solutions and provide technical advice.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and technical deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers while contributing to business development, proposals, and technical leadership initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in geotechnical and underground engineering design within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Hold Professional Engineering License.
  • Strong experience in deep excavations, MRT projects, road tunnels, utility tunnels, underground structures, or major infrastructure developments.
  • Proficiency in PLAXIS and other geotechnical analysis and modelling software.
  • Good English communication skills with demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary project teams.
