Job Description

Engineering Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Drive engineering excellence, technical governance, and standardisation across all sites.
  • Establish best practices in reliability, maintenance, asset management, and engineering operations.
  • Serve as the technical authority for major engineering decisions and risk management activities.
  • Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.



Operations & Asset Reliability

  • Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), predictive maintenance, and condition-based monitoring programs.
  • Drive asset lifecycle management strategies to maximise asset performance and minimise total cost of ownership.
  • Partner with operations teams to improve manufacturing uptime, productivity, and equipment effectiveness.



Capital Projects & Engineering Delivery

  • Oversee engineering design, project execution, commissioning, and handover for major capital projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Manage external engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and technical service providers.
  • Lead capacity expansion, modernisation, automation, sustainability, and digital transformation initiatives.



Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the senior technical representative with clients and executive stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with manufacturing leaders and site management teams.
  • Support commercial growth through technical solutions development and engineering innovation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, commercial, HSE, procurement, and finance teams.



Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams.
  • Build succession planning and technical capability programs.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, technical competency development, and engineering leadership excellence.
  • Drive employee engagement, performance management, and talent retention initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
  • Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • 15+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial services, chemicals, FMCG, energy, utilities, or large industrial operations.
  • Prior experience leading large, multidisciplinary engineering teams while partnering closely with clients, operations leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong background in engineering management, maintenance, reliability, asset management, and project delivery.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale capital investment programs and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing budgets, external contractors, and senior client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of international engineering standards, safety regulations, and compliance frameworks.
