Job Description



Key Responsibilites

  • Lead the identification and development of new renewable energy opportunities, aligning initiatives with broader business and growth objectives
  • Formulate and execute market entry and expansion strategies to unlock new revenue streams and customer segments
  • Initiate and evaluate greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring strong commercial viability and compliance with regulatory frameworks
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, utilities, investors, contractors, and technology partners
  • Drive commercial structuring efforts by developing, negotiating, and closing complex agreements with multiple stakeholders
  • Leverage industry networks and partnerships to accelerate business growth and strengthen market positioning.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of large-scale renewable energy projects, from origination through execution and handover
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across technical design, financial structuring, and legal frameworks
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment on project feasibility, funding strategies, regulatory approvals, and delivery plans
  • Ensure disciplined project execution, maintaining control over timelines, budgets, and performance standards

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Business Development should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Energy, or a related field
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, consulting, or a related industry
  • Proven experience in business development, product strategy, or project development
  • Strong understanding of energy solutions, commercial models, and financial analysis
  • Ability to develop business cases and evaluate investment opportunities
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including partners, clients, and internal teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results within timelines and budgets
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English (additional regional language is a plus)
