This role is responsible for leading direct material sourcing activities, developing supplier partnerships across Thailand and ASEAN, and driving cost reduction, localization, and supply chain optimization initiatives. The position works closely with regional sourcing teams and cross-functional stakeholders to secure competitive suppliers, improve commercial terms, mitigate supply risks, and ensure uninterrupted production support.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct material categories in alignment with regional procurement objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier identification, RFQ management, quotation analysis, negotiations, and supplier selection.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives across Thailand and ASEAN, including supplier qualification, onboarding, and second-source development.
  • Identify and implement localization and cost reduction opportunities through supplier competition, negotiation, Value Analysis/Value Engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and payment terms to support cost savings and cash flow improvement objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage supply risks, and coordinate corrective actions to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Maintain sourcing governance, documentation, supplier records, KPI reporting, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in direct material sourcing within automotive, electronics, wire harness, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong expertise in supplier sourcing, RFQ processes, commercial evaluation, contract negotiation, supplier development, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with ASEAN supplier development, localization projects, and direct materials procurement is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and English communication skills; SAP/ERP experience is preferred.
