Job Description

  • Drive and coordinate sustainability initiatives across the APAC region, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability strategies and ESG objectives.
  • Serve as the APAC Sustainability Officer and support regional sustainability governance, reporting, and performance management.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of sustainability programs within APAC manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to water management, wastewater treatment, waste handling, hazardous materials, energy consumption, and emissions control.
  • Collaborate closely with Plant Management, HSE, and Quality teams to support sustainability compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the sustainability subject matter expert during audits, assessments, and compliance reviews, supporting corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage and continuously improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS), including audit preparation and compliance activities.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report sustainability KPIs related to energy, water usage, waste management, emissions, and environmental performance.
  • Lead resource-efficiency programs and environmental improvement initiatives to support regional and global sustainability targets.
  • Coordinate sustainability representatives across APAC entities to ensure consistent implementation of sustainability standards and best practices.
  • Promote social sustainability initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, employee well-being, health programs, and sustainability awareness campaigns.
  • Support the harmonization of sustainability practices across multiple countries while considering local regulatory and cultural requirements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for regional sustainability meetings and cross-functional projects.
  • Work closely with Quality, Operations, HR, and other business functions to drive sustainability-related projects and initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Opertional Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices within manufacturing environments.
  • Experience implementing or managing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and supporting audit activities.
  • Understanding of sustainability KPIs, environmental reporting, resource efficiency, and performance measurement.
  • Experience within industrial and manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate initiatives across multiple countries and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural APAC environment and manage regional sustainability initiatives.
  • High learning agility and passion for environmental sustainability and ESG development.
  • Good command in English.
