The Reliability Manager - APAC is responsible for leading regional reliability, maintenance excellence, and asset performance initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites. This role drives operational efficiency, maintenance strategy, predictive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement projects to maximize equipment reliability, reduce costs, and support sustainable manufacturing performance.

Job Description

  • Lead reliability improvement programs across APAC manufacturing facilities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Drive the implementation and sustainability of performance systems, governance frameworks, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute regional reliability strategies to improve equipment availability, asset utilization, and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Establish reliability standards, KPIs, and best practices across manufacturing sites to support consistent operational performance.
  • Partner with plant and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for reducing downtime and manufacturing losses.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and oversee corrective action implementation to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
  • Support maintenance budget planning, cost optimization initiatives, and mechanical stores management throughout the region.
  • Develop maintenance strategies for critical assets to maximize lifecycle performance and operational output.
  • Assess operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize reliability-related interruptions.
  • Strengthen internal capabilities by coaching teams and developing technical resources focused on reliability excellence.
  • Promote the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, digital tools, and advanced analytics within maintenance and reliability programs.
  • Utilize equipment performance data and failure analysis to proactively identify issues and improve asset health.
  • Lead predictive and preventive maintenance initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime and increase plant reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align reliability objectives with safety, quality, production, and business goals.
  • Drive standardization of maintenance processes, operational practices, and performance measurement systems across APAC facilities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in reliability engineering, maintenance management, or asset performance within manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience implementing reliability improvement programs across multiple manufacturing sites or regional operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CMMS platforms, preferably SAP PM or related maintenance management systems.
  • Strong background in preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Experience utilizing FMEA, FMECA, Weibull Analysis, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), or continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound monitoring, MCA, and NDT techniques.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and transform maintenance data into actionable reliability improvements.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital maintenance technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management capabilities in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to develop maintenance KPIs, reliability metrics, and asset management strategies.
  • Fluent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence teams across regional operations.
