Job Description

  • Plan, execute, and manage engineering projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve any technical or operational issues.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Optimise project processes to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team.Lead end-to-end engineering projects covering equipment acquisition, installation, modifications, and facility upgrades.
  • Manage strategic capital investment initiatives to support business expansion and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute CapEx plans, ensuring projects align with business priorities and return-on-investment objectives.
  • Oversee the procurement, installation, commissioning, and validation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, risks, and resources to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Drive infrastructure improvement projects involving HVAC systems, utilities, electrical systems, and facility enhancements.
  • Support manufacturing optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions to strengthen manufacturing capabilities.
  • Manage engineering and project-related budgets while ensuring cost control and financial compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop engineering and technical teams to enhance performance and capability.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Identify technical training requirements and facilitate capability development programs.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with regulatory, quality, safety, and company standards.
  • Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to deliver strategic transformation projects successfully.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering project management within manufacturing, medical device, or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading capital investment projects, equipment installations, and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of CapEx planning, budgeting, and project cost management.
  • Solid technical expertise in manufacturing equipment, automation, and production systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering and project management software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project, or ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, contractors, and external vendors.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive project success.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities in complex engineering environments.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations, quality systems, and compliance requirements is advantageous.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing certifications would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
