The Operational Excellence Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations to enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost performance. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to build a culture of operational excellence, standardize processes, and deliver measurable improvements through data-driven decision-making.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement the organization's operational excellence strategy and continuous improvement roadmap.
  • Lead Lean, Kaizen, and process improvement programs to drive operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities to improve productivity, quality, service levels, and cost effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational discipline across all departments.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and redesign workflows to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Standardize operational procedures and establish best practices across functions.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and operational guidelines to support consistency and scalability.
  • Strengthen collaboration among departments to improve execution and business outcomes.
  • Develop and implement key operational KPIs and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Establish dashboards and reporting tools to monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring operational challenges and drive corrective actions.
  • Ensure sustainable implementation of preventive measures to improve long-term performance.
  • Enhance manufacturing productivity, equipment utilization, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Improve inventory management, material flow, production planning, and scheduling processes.
  • Optimize warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations to improve efficiency and service performance.
  • Support cost reduction and operational optimization initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to strengthen compliance and quality systems.
  • Support GMP adherence, audit readiness, CAPA effectiveness, and operational governance.
  • Lead cross-functional transformation and improvement projects from planning through implementation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.
  • Utilize operational data and analytics to identify bottlenecks and prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, track project ROI, and monitor realized savings and operational benefits.
  • Support digital transformation, automation, and technology-driven improvement programs.
  • Coach and mentor teams on Lean principles, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Facilitate workshops and capability-building activities to strengthen internal operational excellence competencies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Excellence within food or other FMCG manufacturing industry.
  • Experience within FMCG, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional transformation and process improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience developing KPIs, operational dashboards, and performance management frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze complex operational challenges and translate findings into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong project management and change management experience.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience coaching and developing teams.
  • Fluent in Thai with good proficiency in English.
