You will provide strategic legal and regulatory support across digital payments, lending products, and financial services initiatives in Thailand.This role offers exposure to a broad range of regulatory, commercial, and operational matters within a dynamic, fast-paced environment undergoing continuous growth and innovation.

Job Description

  • Provide legal and regulatory advice on digital payment, lending, and financial services products.
  • Advise business stakeholders on Thailand financial regulatory requirements and compliance matters.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments affecting payments, credit, consumer finance, and digital financial services.
  • Support engagement with relevant regulatory authorities and government agencies.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on a variety of commercial contracts and business arrangements.
  • Provide legal support for new product launches and strategic business initiatives.
  • Advise on consumer protection, AML, and regulatory risk management matters.
  • Provide guidance on emerging digital law requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with regional legal, compliance, risk, and business teams.
  • Identify legal risks and recommend practical commercial solutions.
  • Assist in developing internal policies, frameworks, and governance processes.
  • Support dispute management and regulatory investigations when required.
  • Contribute to process improvements and legal operational efficiency.
  • Deliver commercially focused legal advice in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • Qualified lawyer with 7-14 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in financial services regulation, payments, consumer finance, digital lending, or credit products.
  • Experience gained in a reputable law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination of both.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory matters involving payment systems, lending regulations, AML, consumer protection, PDPA, and digital law.
  • Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder management skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
