Job Description

  • Manage litigation, disputes, and contentious matters from pre-dispute stages through to resolution.
  • Develop legal strategies for commercial, civil, employment, and consumer-related disputes.
  • Manage external counsel and ensure cost-effective handling of litigation matters.
  • Advise business stakeholders on dispute risks and potential legal exposure.
  • Support employment-related legal matters, including disciplinary actions, terminations, investigations, workforce restructuring, and employment claims.
  • Handle regulatory investigations and enforcement actions initiated by government authorities.
  • Advise on competition law and interactions with relevant competition regulators.
  • Provide legal guidance on consumer protection, product liability, and e-commerce regulations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to disputes and settlements.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments that may impact business operations.
  • Participate in policy development and legal compliance initiatives across the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified lawyer with a valid lawyer licence.
  • 7-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably from a reputable law firm with strong litigation exposure.
  • Proven experience handling litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory matters.
  • Knowledge of competition law, commercial law, consumer protection, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong English communication and stakeholder management skills with a hands-on, business-oriented approach.
