Job Description

  • A strong foundation in hands-on software development.
  • Deep expertise in system design, solution architecture and scalable technology platforms.
  • Proven experience delivering successful customer-facing or enterprise applications.
  • Strong engineering leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Business and Technology stakeholders.
  • A track record of delivering reliable, high-performance systems that support business growth.
  • Proven experience managing large engineering teams
  • Strong hands-on technical foundation in software engineering, solution architecture and system design.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and scaling production-grade applications.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, databases, indexing and modern software architecture.
  • Experience building large-scale customer-facing applications or complex enterprise technology platforms.
  • Background in E-commerce, Retail Technology, Digital Platforms or Supply Chain Systems.
  • Strong people leadership, performance management, coaching and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions and provide architectural guidance while managing large engineering teams

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Head of Software Engineering & Retail Technology' should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of software development experience, including substantial experience in engineering leadership.
  • Experience working with leading e-commerce, retail or technology-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, SQL or similar technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, distributed architecture, DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled applications, automation or AI-assisted software development.
  • Experience managing engineering teams within a matrix organization.
  • Strong English communication skills; Thai language skills are advantageous.
