Job Description

  • Take full ownership of finance and accounting operations in Malaysia, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong governance
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the local leadership team, providing financial insights to support commercial strategies and investments
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with business goals and execution priorities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, covering all key financial statements and business drivers
  • Deliver clear and actionable financial reports and recommendations to regional and group stakeholders
  • Monitor business performance, identifying potential risks and opportunities while driving corrective actions
  • Oversee regular financial reporting cycles, providing detailed profitability analysis across products, channels, and customers
  • Develop and enhance financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to improve efficiency and data transparency
  • Conduct scenario analysis and forward-looking financial assessments to support strategic decision-making
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, strengthening capabilities and leadership skills
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and regional reporting requirements

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus
  • Over 10 years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to both accounting and FP&A, ideally within FMCG or multinational environments
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence key business decisions
  • Proven leadership experience with strong team management and coaching capabilities
  • Hands-on expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance management
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Excel and presentation tools
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and complex environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required
