An established financial services organisation in Thailand specialising in investment banking, capital markets, and financial advisory services for high-net-worth individuals, corporate, and institutional clients. Its services include investment advisory, securities brokerage and underwriting, private fund management, and derivatives brokerage.

Job Description

  • Manage private fund portfolios covering Thai and regional equities and fixed income in accordance with client objectives and investment policies.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio construction to optimise returns within defined risk parameters.
  • Conduct fundamental and quantitative research, financial modelling, security valuation, and industry analysis to identify investment opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, economic developments, portfolio performance, and investment risks to support timely investment decisions.
  • Review and re-balance portfolios in line with investment strategies, market conditions, and client risk profiles.
  • Prepare investment proposals, performance reports, benchmark comparisons, and recommendations for investment committees, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strive to outperform relevant benchmark indices and achieve competitive risk-adjusted returns compared with similar funds.
  • Monitor portfolio risks, including volatility, maximum draw-down, liquidity, credit, and interest rate risks, and conduct stress testing where appropriate.
  • Support AUM growth, client retention, and the development of new investment products.
  • Collaborate with research and internal teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in investment management, fund management, portfolio construction, and asset allocation within a financial institution.
  • Strong expertise in Thai equities, including fundamental analysis, security selection, valuation, and portfolio performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Thai and regional capital markets, fixed income instruments, and other relevant financial products.
  • Strong analytical skills, financial modelling capabilities, and proficiency in risk assessment and investment outlook analysis.
  • Experience managing private funds and delivering performance against benchmarks and investment objectives.
  • Understanding of portfolio risk management, including volatility, liquidity risk, maximum draw-down, and risk-adjusted performance metrics.
  • Professional fund management licences or relevant certifications are advantageous.
