This role is responsible for building and managing finance and operational back-office functions for a newly established business unit in Chiang Mai. The position oversees financial control, administration, HR, procurement and ERP processes to ensure smooth and scalable operations.

Job Description

  • Lead and establish finance, administration, HR, procurement, and logistics functions for the new site
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end closing
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis (budget vs. actuals)
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and local regulations
  • Supervise ERP system usage for financial tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Monitor cash flow, payment planning, and investment tracking processes
  • Partner with operations to support cost control and financial decision-making
  • Lead HR operations including payroll, contracts, and compliance with labor regulations
  • Manage procurement and logistics activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing
  • Coordinate with regional/global stakeholders to align financial and operational strategies
  • Prepare management reports with analytical insights for business performance
  • Support business setup activities, including registrations and local compliance requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and administrative processes
  • Lead and develop a small local team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Act as a key point of contact for external partners such as auditors, banks, and authorities

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-15 years of experience in finance and operations, ideally in agribusiness, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
  • Proven experience managing multiple functions (Finance, HR, Admin, Procurement) in a standalone or remote-site environment
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
