This role is responsible for leading and optimizing CNC machining manufacturing processes to achieve excellence in safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance. This role oversees new project launches, APQP/PPAP activities, productivity improvements, and engineering team development while driving continuous improvement through data-driven decision making and systematic problem solving.

Job Description

  • Lead new project and new model launches from RFQ through mass production, ensuring on-time delivery and budget compliance.
  • Manage APQP and PPAP activities, including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, capability studies, and customer approvals.
  • Plan and oversee new machine installation, commissioning, validation, and production trials.
  • Review and control BOM accuracy, process parameters, cycle times, and ERP system alignment with manufacturing operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, optimize tooling costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 8D.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing standards, including SOPs, tooling management systems, and jig & fixture control.
  • Develop and coach the engineering team while collaborating cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance, and Product Development teams.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in CNC machining environments, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering or new model teams.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, including Machining Centers (VMC/HMC), Lathe, Grinding, tooling, cutting tools, and jig & fixture design.
  • Proven experience in APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, and continuous improvement methodologies within an automotive or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and drive results.
