Job Description

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting and finance department.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
  • Monitor and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies during financial audits.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals to achieve departmental goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or a similar sector is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
