Our client is a leading regional technology-driven financial services provider operating across Southeast Asia. The legal team partners closely with cross‑border business leaders to ensure compliance, manage regulatory risk, and support new product growth.

Job Description

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts related to financial services and digital products.
  • Support due-diligence processes in alignment with internal compliance and regulatory expectations.
  • Assist with legal assessments on insurance, banking & finance matters.
  • Work with regional headquarters counsel on cross‑border legal issues.
  • Conduct legal research and provide guidance on regulatory developments impacting digital financial services.
  • Liaise with business, compliance, risk, and product teams to solve operational or legal bottlenecks.
  • Prepare documentation for internal approvals and governance.
  • Review communications, marketing material, and new initiatives for legal risks.
  • Manage external law firm engagements and coordinate advice from international counsel.
  • Assist in policy creation and process improvements to strengthen legal operations.
  • Contribute to special projects or transactions assigned..
  • Handle confidential information with strong judgment and professionalism.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Associate Legal Counsel should have:

  • 4 years or more PQE from leading international or top-tier law firms.
  • Strong experience in contract review, corporate transactions, insurance, or banking & finance
  • Smart, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
