This role is responsible for leading the accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and audit activities for the Thailand entity while partnering closely with international finance leadership. The Assistant Controller will also play a key role in driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, leading a local finance team, and supporting finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation.

Job Description

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Manage all tax, regulatory, and statutory filings, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and reporting obligations.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors, tax advisors, banks, government authorities, and other key stakeholders.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team while reviewing work quality and driving high-performance standards.
  • Collaborate with regional and international finance teams to support reporting, audits, compliance activities, and business objectives.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis, management reporting, and business insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Lead and support finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, system enhancements, process redesign, and automation projects.
  • Monitor developments in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance and best practice adoption.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Thai CPA, CPD or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, controllership, audit, or finance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory reporting, and financial controls.
  • Experience managing audits, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end accounting processes.
  • Exposure to multinational or international business environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation projects will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent Thai and good command of spoken and written English.

What's on Offer

  • Monthly salary ranging from THB 80,000 to THB 100,000.
  • Bonus equivalent to 1-2 months of salary.
