About Our Client

A leading organisation within the retail industry, located in Bangkok.

Job Description

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including general ledger journal entries and financial reporting
  • Prepare financial and management reports to support business and operational decision-making
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the accuracy of accounting records
  • Monitor daily accounting transactions and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
  • Maintain and control fixed asset records and related accounting processes
  • Prepare and submit tax filings, including withholding tax, VAT, and property tax, in accordance with regulatory deadlines
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations
  • Develop and prepare reports to support business and management requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency
  • Participate in finance transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with both local statutory requirements and corporate reporting standards
  • Support administrative and ad hoc assignments as required by management

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounting GL professional should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CA qualification is an advantage
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
  • Experience with month-end closing and financial statement preparation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
  • Proficiency in SAP or other accounting systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good command of English
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
