This position is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial accounting, reporting, compliance, budgeting, and audit activities for the Thailand business. The role partners closely with regional finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end financial accounting operations for the Thailand entity.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and reporting submissions.
  • Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and variance commentary.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Coordinate cash flow forecasting and monitor liquidity requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Thai accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Manage VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, and other regulatory filing obligations.
  • Coordinate with external consultants on tax matters relating to employees and expatriates.
  • Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for statutory and tax audits.
  • Act as the key finance contact for external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
  • Review employee expense claims, payment approvals, and financial transactions.
  • Oversee payroll review processes to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks, accounting policies, and financial governance standards.
  • Partner with regional finance teams and support various ad hoc projects and business initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of accounting and finance experience, including experience in a senior-level position.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai accounting standards, statutory reporting, VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax regulations.
  • Experience within professional services, consulting, legal services, or multinational organizations is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
