Job Description

  • Source and procure scrap materials to meet production demands efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and quality standards are met.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to optimise costs and terms.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to forecast material requirements and ensure inventory levels are maintained.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • A strong background in scrap buying
  • Proficiency in sourcing new supplier and supplier relationship management.
  • Knowledge of market trends and pricing strategies related to scrap materials is preferrable
  • Familiarity with environmental and regulatory compliance in procurement activities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
  • Willing to do frequent visit with suppliers.
