Job Description

  • Lead and manage all power plant operations and maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient generation performance.
  • Ensure achievement of plant performance targets, including availability, reliability, capacity factor, heat rate, and generation output.
  • Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximise equipment reliability and minimise unplanned outages.
  • Drive a strong Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) culture, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and company requirements.
  • Manage plant budgets, operating costs, maintenance expenditures, inventory, and contractor performance to achieve financial objectives.
  • Lead plant personnel through coaching, performance management, workforce development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Monitor plant performance, lead root cause investigations, implement continuous improvement programs, and manage stakeholder relationships with regulators, customers, OEMs, and service providers.

The Successful Applicant

  • Able to communicate in Chinese familiar working with Chinese stakeholders
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of power generation systems, including turbines, generators, boilers/HRSGs, electrical systems, and plant auxiliaries.
  • Demonstrated experience in asset reliability management, outage planning, budget management, and plant performance optimisation.
  • Proven leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
