Job Description

  • Lead and manage the Thailand office, overseeing both professional and administrative functions
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure efficient delivery of IP services
  • Provide expert guidance on patent prosecution, filing strategies, and portfolio management
  • Oversee patent filings, examination responses, and hearings
  • Manage workflow allocation, delegation, and supervision across the team
  • Ensure quality control and consistent standards across all deliverables
  • Develop, mentor, and grow a high-performing patent team
  • Establish performance metrics and support continuous professional development
  • Act as the key liaison with the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) in Thailand
  • Build and maintain relationships with examiners and regulatory authorities
  • Coordinate cross-border collaboration with regional and global stakeholders
  • Engage with clients, principals, and corporate partners to support business objectives
  • Represent the organisation in professional associations and industry forums

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Patent should have:

  • Registered Patent Agent in Thailand
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Intellectual Property, with a strong focus on patents
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing office operations
  • Strong technical background
  • Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English
