Job Description

  • Lead and manage the credit control team to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimise risk and maximise cash flow.
  • Conduct regular credit assessments and risk evaluations for new and existing clients.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare and present detailed credit reports to senior management.
  • Oversee the implementation of credit management tools and systems for efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Credit Control should have:

  • Strong experience in credit control, particularly within the financial services or banking industry.
  • A solid understanding of credit policies, risk management, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in using credit management tools and financial reporting software.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
