About Our Client

We are seeking an experienced compliance leader to oversee the Thailand regulatory and compliance framework while acting as the key compliance adviser to business stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to shape compliance strategy, support innovative product launches, and contribute to regional governance initiatives in a dynamic fintech environment.

Job Description

  • Lead and enhance the Thailand compliance framework to ensure adherence to all regulatory and licensing obligations.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, controls, and monitoring programmes.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business and operational solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and manage regulatory relationships.
  • Provide compliance guidance to business units on new products, digital initiatives, customer journeys, and operational changes.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and communicate relevant changes to local and regional stakeholders.
  • Manage regulatory filings, inspections, thematic reviews, notifications, and information requests.
  • Review client communications, disclosures, marketing materials, and promotional campaigns.
  • Support governance committees, risk reporting, and senior management discussions.
  • Drive the implementation of scalable and technology-enabled compliance processes.
  • Partner with product, technology, operations, and marketing teams to ensure compliance considerations are embedded within business initiatives.
  • Support regional projects, including cross-border product launches and governance programmes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within a designated compliance domain across the wider organisation.
  • Collaborate with compliance professionals across multiple jurisdictions on regulatory and strategic initiatives.
  • Promote a strong culture of compliance while balancing regulatory expectations with commercial objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Compliance Manager should have:

  • Experience in compliance or legal roles within the property industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the property sector.
  • Ability to implement and manage compliance frameworks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.7-8 years of experience within Compliance, Legal, Risk, Regulatory Affairs, or related functions in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Securities, Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct compliance experience, or 4 years of relevant regulatory/legal experience, gained within an asset management or securities environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of Thai Securities and Exchange Commission regulations, financial services regulations, and industry standards.
  • Fluent communication skills in both Thai and English, written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, and practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and provide balanced regulatory advice.
  • Knowledge of wealth management, investment products, and private fund management practices is advantageous.
  • Interest in fintech, digital transformation, automation, and AI-driven operating models.
  • Comfortable working within a lean, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment.
