Job Description

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in retail
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; 10 years' experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards (TFRS, NPAE)
  • Proven experience in financial closing processes (GL, Tax)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead teams under tight deadlines
  • Fluent in English and proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with SAP or Magnitude systems is advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative team player
