Job Description

  • Develop and implement product research and development strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee the creation and improvement of products within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and performance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage budgets and resource allocation for R&D projects.
  • Lead and mentor the research and development team to achieve objectives.
  • Present findings and proposals to senior stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Product Development should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
  • Strong background in product development within the consumer health, FMCG, pharmaceutical, skincare, or personal care industries.
  • Expertise in scientific principles, formulation development, and research methodologies.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, consumer insights to identify new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence senior leaders.
