Job Description

  • Define and execute a data strategy for the Strategic Office Group, covering data collection, analysis, interpretation, and visualization to support business goals.
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of data scientists and analysts, fostering collaboration, skill growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and deliver advanced analytical models, dashboards, and reports that generate actionable insights.
  • Lead data exploration, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and segmentation to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with business units to translate needs into analytical solutions and deliver data-driven outcomes.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance in collaboration with data governance teams.
  • Evaluate and implement data tools, platforms, and technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Manage end-to-end analytics projects, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery within scope.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Scientist Manager should have:

  • A strong educational background in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading data science or analytics teams.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Expertise in machine learning, statistical modelling, and data visualisation tools.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
