Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development:
    • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop comprehensive trade marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation in the market.

  2. Campaign Management:
    • Plan and execute trade marketing campaigns, including promotions, product launches, and events targeted at retailers and distributors.
    • Develop compelling promotional materials, presentations, and sales tools to support the sales team and enhance customer engagement.

  3. Channel Development:
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in retail channels, including supermarkets, wholesalers, and distributors.
    • Negotiate promotional agreements and contracts to maximize visibility and sales opportunities in-store and online.

  4. Market Analysis and Insights:
    • Conduct regular market visits and retail audits to gather insights on consumer behavior, product performance, and competitor activities.
    • Utilize data analytics and market research to optimize marketing strategies and improve ROI on trade marketing investments.

  5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product development, and supply chain to ensure alignment and effective execution of trade marketing initiatives.
    • Provide training and support to the sales team on trade marketing strategies, product knowledge, and promotional activities.

  6. Budget Management:
    • Manage the trade marketing budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve business objectives and sales targets.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing activities, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in trade marketing within the FMCG food industry, with a strong understanding of retail channels and distributor networks.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing trade marketing strategies that drive sales growth and brand visibility.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
