The company specialises in the design and manufacturing of switching, protection, and control systems for electric power transmission and distribution. They serve various industries, including utilities, commercial, industrial, and renewable energy sectors, offering solutions for improving the reliability, efficiency, and resilience of power systems.

Job Description

  1. Sales & Relationships Management
  • Achieve sales territory targets
  • Organise and conduct customer meetings/visits with local Channel Partners
  • Achieve territory market share
  • Follow up on all leads and channel opportunities
  • Attend trade shows
  • Follow up all technical support queries and escalate to engineers where required
  1. New Business Development
  • Identify and build new lead channels in conjunction with local Channel Partners
  • Develop, maintain and utilise networks effectively
  • Develop and implement new business sales strategies
  • Promote new and existing company products and services to new and existing customers
  1. Internal Support & Reporting
  • Report on sales figures
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Provide internal support to the sales team
  • Maintain and update customer CRM details
  1. Conduct & Culture
  • Be a productive member of the Company team and treat colleagues and the company with respect
  • Help to maintain the company culture
  • Abide by the company policies and procedures
  • Have a neat and presentable appearance
  • Conduct activities as per ISO, OH&S and Company standards

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualifications in Engineering (post graduate preferable)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and the electrical engineering industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated sales experience (Electrical Industry preferable)
  • Commercial acumen with a solid understanding of commercial terms and conditions
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Effective communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Critical thinking and ability to solve abstract problems
  • Experience in Oracle and CRM systems
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet conflicting deadlines
