The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing material management, inventory control, and customer demand planning within automotive manufacturing environment. This role demands a strong foundation in material management principles, production planning, deep familiarity with Just-In-Time (JIT) operations, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Job Description

  • Oversee timely delivery of direct and indirect materials, support new product launches, and handle obsolete inventory recovery.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, approve adjustments, and drive improvements in inventory turns, freight costs, and supplier delivery metrics.
  • Create and execute logistics plans aligned with annual cost and lead time goals, supporting JIT operations across plants.
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline material flows, enhance MRP systems, and improve scheduling and warehouse efficiency.
  • Manage and communicate accurate import/export procedures and lead orientation sessions for internal teams and suppliers.
  • Evaluate and improve transportation modes and packaging methods to meet cost efficiency and MEQ standards.
  • Validate customer forecasts, address discrepancies, and participate in contingency planning for demand changes.
  • Facilitate communication and execution of product replacements based on customer requirements and engineering updates.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in material management, production management and supply chain management within engineering business
  • Experience in JIT (Just-in-time)
  • Skilled in ERP (MRP, MPS) and MS Excel skill
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Good command in English
