Job Description

  • Act as the primary legal advisor for all Thailand business operations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
  • Provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice to support commercial objectives
  • Identify and manage legal risks across business activities
  • Ensure compliance with Thai laws and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance matters
  • Monitor changes in laws and advise on business impact
  • Manage disputes, litigation, and investigations with external counsel
  • Implement group legal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks locally
  • Develop contract templates, guidelines, and internal legal tools
  • Deliver legal and compliance training to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with regional and global legal teams
  • Support strategic projects, transactions, and business initiatives
  • Manage and oversee external legal advisers

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage
  • Thai‑qualified lawyer or foreign‑qualified lawyer with extensive Thailand experience
  • 10-15 years of legal experience, gained in‑house and/or top‑tier law firms
  • Strong background in commercial contracts and regulatory matters
  • Excellent communication skills with strong commercial and stakeholder management capability
