Job Description

  • Drive the successful execution of the sales strategy and activation plans across all channels, with a primary focus on Modern Trade, but also including General Trade, Foodservice, and E-commerce.
  • Boost sales revenue in key retail targets by developing tailored customer plans and implementing in-store projects, promotional, and merchandising programs in collaboration with trade marketing.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitors' activities, and insights to optimize market plans, proactively addressing and resolving any issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate closely with the distributor key account team and brand management to ensure proper representation of the initiatives within the distributor team, including conducting monthly business reviews and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with retailers in Thailand and Cambodia.
  • Ensure timely and complete execution of all plans while identifying key growth opportunities and quick wins to drive volume and enhance distribution (track distribution points).
  • Oversee and manage third-party agencies engaged, such as sampling, exhibition, and gift-with-purchase (GWP) agencies, ensuring projects meet standards and guidelines. Coordinate with PR agencies to ensure timely and full execution of activations.
  • Foster operational excellence by overseeing merchandising operations and ensuring superior in-store execution.
  • Execute perfect store standards and maintain merchandising guidelines across primary and secondary displays, including coordinating planogram rollouts with distributors and retailers.
  • Identify and recommend suitable stores for investment opportunities, including roadshows and promoter sampling activations.
  • Manage and train merchandisers from distributors, ensuring they follow detailed checklists for in-store execution.
  • Ensure marketing activations are executed on time and in full, in alignment with trade plans.
  • Regularly track business metrics and hold quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders (internal/external) to evaluate opportunities and challenges. Prepare and communicate regular reports and improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with other departments, particularly brand managers, category managers, and channel managers, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales or trade marketing, with a strong focus on Modern Trade (MT) and a proven track record in driving sales in MT channels.
  • Able to work independently and take full ownership of the role as the first headcount in Thailand, managing all aspects of sales strategy and execution with minimal supervision.
  • Strong operational expertise in MT, with a focus on in-store activations, merchandising, and promotions to drive performance across key retailers.
  • Proven account management skills, developing strong relationships with MT retailers and distributors to achieve business growth and market penetration.
  • Self-starter with strategic and tactical problem-solving abilities, able to analyze market data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions to optimize sales and distribution.
  • Fluent in Thai and English, with excellent communication and collaboration skills to build relationships with both local and international teams.
