About Our Client

Our client is a global packaging company supplied to food and beverage customers.

Job Description

  • Supervise the regional framework for collection, sorting, and recycling, with a strong focus on initiatives that engage key stakeholders such as industry leaders, brands, recyclers (e.g., paper mills, polymer recyclers), NGOs, and others.
  • Stay actively involved in industry associations and relevant platforms, ensuring timely updates and participation.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders-including ministries, industry associations, producer responsibility organizations (PROs), and environmental authorities-to navigate packaging circularity regulations.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about major environmental regulations impacting packaging circularity in the region, offering insights and guidance.
  • Spearhead efforts to build expertise in critical environmental areas, including waste collection, recycling, and regulatory compliance related to packaging sustainability.
  • Expand partnerships with recycling entities in high-priority markets.
  • Track and communicate the progress and impact of regional projects.

The Successful Applicant

Expertise in Circularity & Recycling - Strong background in sustainability, recycling, and advocacy across governments, NGOs, and industry players, with a proactive approach to monitoring legislative and competitive landscapes.

Strategic Communication & Collaboration - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at delivering high-impact presentations for diverse audiences, and skilled in building trust with stakeholders across multiple countries.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities - Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and proficiency in handling large datasets to extract meaningful insights, while thriving in ambiguous and remote work environments.

Tech-Savvy & Industry Knowledge - Well-versed in Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a keen understanding of environmental regulations, packaging circularity, and sustainability frameworks.

Qualifications & Passion for Sustainability - Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), with a strong commitment to driving environmentally and socially impactful solutions.
