In addition, they must be effective in overseeing HR operations and able to ensure all HR needs are met and fully aligned with business objectives and strategies. This is an exceptional opportunity for a subject matter expert with deep knowledge of all matters concerning HR; able to manage programmes, provide leadership and think strategically to build and develop the HR function in a creative and dynamic way, increase engagement and retention and help leaders navigate the challenges they face.Key responsibilities:Sounding board & strategic advisor to senior leadershipProvide overall leadership and guidance to Business Partnering.Devise and deliver a compelling strategy around generalist Human Resources.Build and maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders and networks to maximise the successful implementation of the HR strategy and ensure the company is up to date with latest thinking.Lead and contribute to projects across the business to ensure objectives are successfully achieved.Establish & implement HR plans that communicate and support the company's mission and strategic vision.Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or speciality group regarding key organisational and management issues.Devise & implement comprehensive, competitive, cost-effective compensation and benefits plans.Partner with International and Corporate HR for sounding boards and best practicesThe Successful ApplicantDemonstrable HR leadership: (at least 5 years Executive HR experience/5 years International HR experience).Expert business partnering track record: proven trusted advisor; integrity, transparency, and honesty, upon which a relationship as confidante, advisor and counsel can be built.Commercial focus: track record in M&A, demonstrates a keen understanding of core financial drivers and objectives across the business; ability to leverage human resources to deliver and drive strategy (particularly able to see the impact of the wider market on resourcing).Communication skills: exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build effective relationships with people both internally across the organisationExceptional stakeholder engagement: understands how to build relationships and influence effectively, credibility across the business including the executive team.Leadership: proven ability to lead across HR, effecting change and facilitating the development of the People and leadership team; engages and motivates.Zoom in/out: highly strategic but remains hands on; must have impact and influence (self-starter rather than Ivory Tower).Cultural alignment: adept at working in a business that operates in a very entrepreneurial way; thinking out of the box and comfortable rolling up one's sleeves; involved in the detail; low ego; resilient; pacey and tenacious, collaborative.Strong consultancy, coaching and relationship management skills.Subject matter expert: an awareness of the latest thinking in the field of people management and willingness to learn from experience (learning agility). Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.Change maker: execute/drive through change, using high levels of emotional intelligence to adapt as necessary. Strategic insight: the ability to position the HR function and its objectives within the wider corporate strategy.Ability to inspire and lead on vision and be an ambassador of values. Intellectual agility: able to switch between the conceptual and the analytical.
