Job Description

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the plant's long-term operational strategy aligned with corporate objectives and market demands.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable plans for production, quality, cost control, and workforce development.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor practices to ensure the plant remains competitive and innovative.



Operational Excellence

  • Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, capacity management, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure optimal utilisation of equipment, materials, and labour to meet production targets and delivery timelines.
  • Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes to maintain product standards and brand reputation.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste.



Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with local and international safety, environmental, and labour regulations.
  • Develop and maintain robust health and safety programs, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Promote a zero-incident culture through proactive safety training and employee engagement.
  • Financial Management
  • Prepare and manage the plant's annual operating budget, including forecasting, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
  • Monitor key financial metrics such as cost per unit, labour efficiency, and overhead expenses.



Workforce Leadership & Development

  • Lead a diverse team across production, engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, and support functions.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent, ensuring succession planning for critical roles.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, performance reviews, and recognition programs.
  • Drive employee engagement and maintain strong labour relations, including managing union negotiations if applicable.



Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Optimise inventory levels to balance production needs with cost efficiency.
  • Implement robust systems for tracking material flow and minimising stock discrepancies.



Technology & Innovation

  • Champion the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and digital tools to enhance productivity.
  • Leverage data analytics for predictive maintenance, production forecasting, and operational decision-making.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency and waste reduction programs.



Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison between plant operations and corporate leadership, providing regular updates on performance metrics and strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the plant in audits, inspections, and customer visits, ensuring transparency and professionalism.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role within footwear, apparel, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale production facilities and delivering operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complex budgets and financial performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing technologies.
  • Fluency in English and Thai is mandatory (both written and spoken).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
