Job Description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies aligned with business objectives to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Oversee the selection, assortment planning, pricing, and promotion of products to achieve optimal inventory levels and sales performance.
  • Conduct thorough market and competitor analysis to identify trends, consumer behavior, and opportunities for growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, product quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the merchandising team to achieve high performance and deliver on KPIs.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align merchandising strategies with company goals.
  • Identify and introduce innovative products and merchandising solutions to enhance the customer experience and drive differentiation.

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum 10-15 years of experience in merchandising or category management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Retail experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with vendors and suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and consumer behavior, with the ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
