Unlike field sales representatives who travel to meet clients, inside sales specialists maintain a consistent base, focusing on building relationships, generating leads, and converting them into sales without face-to-face meetings.

Job Description

  • Achieved sales margin plan based on company's annual sales operating plan and collaborated with consumable leader and service team to grow sales volume and market share.
  • Responsible for selling consumable products via telephone, email, or electronic mean to customers in assigned territory.
  • Generate prospective customers through cold calling, qualify and follow up with sales leads.
  • Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, generating quotations, invoices and communicating expected delivery date.
  • Support on generating consumable revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Support on developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations.
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Collaborate with Consumable Sales Leader and Service Team to build customers relationships, drive sales and promote consumable products to maximize revenue.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Science, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experiences in laboratory sales-service, industry sales experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with office software and phone systems.
  • Able to multitask and follow-through with customers by organizing well on daily jobs.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Good persuasion skills and aptitude for communication.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office application and hands on SAP will be added advantage.
  • A team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision
