As a Head of Procurement, you will lead the procurement function to ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and high-quality sourcing for tapioca, modified starch, bio-plastic, and ready-to-eat business units. This strategic and operational role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless integration with the overall supply chain.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for tapioca, modified starch, bio-plastic, and ready-to-eat products.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Optimize procurement operations with tools, systems, and lean practices.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives in sourcing and operations.
  • Manage procurement budgets and achieve cost-saving goals.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and sales teams to align procurement with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and environmental standards.
  • Mitigate risks through diversified sourcing and strategic planning.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Over 10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within food, agricultural, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chains for tapioca, modified starch, and bio-plastic industries.
  • Expertise in negotiation, cost optimization, sustainability practices, and ERP/procurement software.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
