Job Description

  • Oversee the company's legal affairs and ensure all business operations adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Draft, negotiate and review complex contracts related to various business activities.
  • Provide legal advice to management on all relevant issues.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors as required.
  • Develop and manage the legal department budget.
  • Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program.
  • Develop company policy and position on legal issues.
  • Research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Manager should have:

  • A Law degree from a recognised university.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in the FMCG industry.
  • In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organisations.
  • Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives.
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
